Work in Progress!
Close Knit is a stop-motion short film that I’m currently working on. It’s going to be my longest three-dimensional stop-motion work to date. The story follows two mice as they develop a friendship through knitting!
The project came about after I fell in love with hand-knitting and wanted to combine it with my stop-motion work. The puppets involved more trial and error than usual, as the knitting pattern had to be extremely altered to work with an armature and foam build-up.
Animating is underway! However, nothing has been edited. Regardless, enjoy a rough cut of Close Knit.
Bizzy (2023)
Bizzy is a character that I’ve worked on for a while, with several iterations and multiple attempts at different puppet designs, she’s truly a labor of love! She’s a mixture of different inspirations: plants, animals, amphibians, etc! Leading to something new, yet familiar! For more info on Bizzy, check out the Puppets! page. Grow A Friend! (2022)
A narrative-based work and my first time actually using a downshooter! Featuring voice-acting from my little sister.
to my mom (2022)
My first exploration with creating my music for a stop-motion project. Photos animated to voicemails left by my mom to create a work to show the love that she has built into my life.
Clown Disco (2021)
My second stop motion short, still no dragonframe, but no less passionate. It’s a story that follows an exiled clown who escapes to live a new life. Through problem solving and some magnets, the main character had interchangeable faces! See more on the Puppets! page.
An Interlude (2021)
This was the first time I ever experimented with stop-motion. No previous knowledge, no dragonframe, or even the correct wire for the armatures. With live-action portions and featuring my little brother and sister as actors/voice actors; it’s a passion project that shows the roots of my desire to create unique worlds. This first stop motion sparked a drive to create more using the medium.
